 posted  June 20th 2012 at 3:21 PM
Today Microsoft gave us our first look at the latest version of its smartphone operating system, Windows Phone 8.The OS at  first glance differs from the windows phone 7 with the amount of tiles available  on the home screen. The new OS allows for connection with new wireless options, better screen resolution , including 720p and 1280 x 768 WXGA for devices and support for muti-core processors such as skype running in the background which was a big focus. Windows Phones 8 include support for external storage in the form of microSD cards as well as NFC ( mobile payments). The OS will use  Nokia maps instead of Bing for navigation and GPS . Microsoft has plans to start there OS off on HTC, Samsung, Nokia and Huawei devices .
